Halalroo started with a simple frustration: discovering halal food in Australia shouldn't require word-of-mouth, endless Google searches, or scrolling through restaurant reviews hoping someone mentions the meat supplier.

Muslims in Australia have great halal restaurants on their doorstep — but the information about them is scattered, inconsistent, and often out of date. Some places are certified halal. Some are halal-friendly with a specific halal menu. Some just happen to serve halal chicken but nobody's sure about the rest of the menu.

Diners deserve to know the difference before they walk in. So we built Halalroo — a single place where every restaurant is clearly marked, filterable, and easy to find. No guesswork, no 20-minute deep dive into a Facebook group.

Restaurant owners can claim their listings for free and update their own information. We don't charge restaurants to appear in the app, and we don't sell placement.
